Since 2004, CRISE has offered a Summer institute as part of its Strategic program of transdisciplinary training in research on suicide and its prevention. The Summer Institute provides a unique opportunity to benefit from the expertise of renowned international researchers from various disciplines: psychology, sociology, psychiatry, genetics, epidemiology, law and philosophy. Every year the Institute offers training around a different theme. The Institute is open to graduate students, fellows in the strategic training program, researchers, practitioners and planners concerned with suicide prevention.
The program was established in partnership with the Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addictions (of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, CIHR), and the Fonds de recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ).
