Mlanie Vachon
Psychology department, UQAM

Dre Mlanie Vachon is a psychologist in palliative care. She obtained her PHD in psychologie at University of Montreal and she completed her post doctoral training at McGill. She is now professor at the psychology department of University of Quebec in Montreal. She is also a member of CRISE. Her research interests are mainly focused on patients, family members and health care professionals experience of palliative care. Dre Vachon has an expertise in qualitative research in healt care settings. She is funded by the Quebec fund on society and Culture, by the Quebec fund of health research as well as by the Canadian Institute of health research as a member of Lise Fillions team. She has been identified as one of the top 50 young researchers to take up the most important scientific challenges of the next fifty years: accompanying patients through the end-of-life. Professor, researcher, psychologist and activist, Dre Vachon is very involved in informing public policies, knowledge transference and training to health care professionals.
