Brian Mishara is the Director of the Centre for Research and Intervention on Suicide and Euthanasia since 1996. He is Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Quebec since 1979. Internationally renowned researcher in the field of suicidology, Brian Mishara has written many books on different topics, e.g. ageing and medication consumption as well as suicide and euthanasia. Brian Mishara was a co-founder of the Quebec Association for Suicidology (now Quebec Association for Suicide Prevention), was President of the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP) and was President of the Interntional Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP)from 2005 to 2009.
